Austin could feel the heavy shelves wobble and tilt precariously. Before she could even think of escaping out from underneath, she heard the sound of sudden footsteps and the slap of wood against flesh. She looked up, surprised. A young man in a dark brown leather jacket smiled at her, one arm stretched mere inches above her head as it held back the skewed bookcase.
“Pardon me,” Grizz murmured with a slight smile, and with a movement as smooth as a dancer’s, he turned and tipped the heavy bookshelves back into their proper position.
Her heart hammering, Austin scrambled to stand up. She was so shaken she nearly tottered back off her feet, but the stranger reached out to steady her, his touch lasting only seconds. But it was enough.
“Are you all right?”
Like his clothing, his voice was soft and rich. The light fell gently on him almost like an aura—very appropriate for a guardian angel, Austin thought as she pushed away some messy strands of gray hair from her face. “Thank you,” she said after a few speechless moments, one hand patting her heart to calm herself. “Those shelves could’ve killed me.”
Once the Twilight series started to become a mainstream success, teen vampire novels sprang up by the gallons. Now I am not saying the nice folks at BookByYou.com have anything to with the Twilight craze.

BooksByYou.com has taken this to the next level. No longer do you have buy white-out and edit your favorite novel to have your name in it, they do it for you!
Now at first, this seems like a really cleaver idea, and a fun gift to give someone that likes the subject matter.
But when you deep dive into the situation, it gets very creepy. These books are supposed to let you live the fantasy of your favorite situations, but if you put your name in the book, your ‘character’ follows the predetermined path that everyone’s ‘character’ would. You would read the book and observe yourself, making choices that you might not make yourself in a weird schizophrenic personification sort of way. It’s almost like reading Mad-Libs after a very selfish person filled out the blanks. What quicker way to get your kids down the path of not thinking for themselves then to load them Mainstream Monorail of pop culture on the way to MTV town.
Living the fantasy is quite an odd slogan, it’s like they direct this product to people without imagination but, if you did not have imagination your probably would not be reading a book in the first place.
Attention reads, if the fairer sex ever teases you for playing Dungeons and Dragons again, just get them this novel and the will never be able to tease you again, for ever.
